Springwood pole dancer Kacie White will compete as part of a doubles team in Parramatta this Saturday, hot on the heels of her win in a professional competition in Sydney last month.
Mrs White won the professional category in the Pole Dance Academy competition at Darlinghurst on March 23, successfully defending the title she first took out in 2012.
The mother-of-three impressed the judges with her nearly four minute long routine to outscore other professionals from the Sydney region.
“I tried not to think about it really [coming back as defending champion]. I’d rather just focus on my performance than whether or not I was going to win,” she said.
She hopes to continue her good form when she competes in the PoleCandy competition at Parramatta’s Roxy Theatre this Saturday.
But it will be straight back to work after that when the new term starts at Mrs White’s Springwood studio, Pole Body and Soul, on April 29.
She said the response to the studio has “been amazing”, with clients from teenagers to women in their 60s taking part.
