NSW Transport Minister Gladys Berejiklian opened Glenbrook’s new 56-space commuter car park opposite the railway station earlier this month, saying “customers have told us being able to drive to their train station and park is important”.
“The NSW government is listening by delivering thousands of parking spaces at train stations and interchange hubs across the state,” Ms Berejiklian said.
She added the government was “delivering modern, accessible, secure and integrated transport infrastructure where it is needed most as part of the $770 million transport access program”.
Penrith MP Stuart Ayres said the new car park has two disabled parking spaces close to the station entrance and the project included security fences, signs and upgrades to footpaths and pedestrian crossings and islands.
“This is fantastic for the local community and I know commuters will be delighted to turn up each morning to use this new car park,” Mr Ayres said.
