The sound of canon fire echoed across Lithgow on the Anzac Day long weekend as the annual Ironfest event attracted thousands of visitors.
The Battle for Lithgow was the focal point on Saturday and Sunday when history buffs re-enacted a clash between French and English forces on Lithgow showground.
With a Mars theme this year, green-faced aliens mingled with knights in armour and Steampunk enthusiasts.
Ironfest celebrates excellence in craft of all kinds, whether it is in metal working, costume making, jousting, jewellery making or original music making. It brings together artists, designers, blacksmiths, performers, musicians, historical re-enactors, machine enthusiasts and hobbyists from around the world — as well as people who just love to dress up.
