Police will resume the search this morning for seven bushwalkers missing from the Katoomba area since yesterday.
The missing bushwalkers, five men and two women aged between 27 and 69, are believed to be missing in Cedar Valley at Katoomba. Police started the search about 7pm on Sunday when the group failed to return at their scheduled time of about 5pm
The organised bushwalking group started walking about 8.30am on Sunday and was last seen about 1pm on Narrow Neck Plateau.
Blue Mountains Police Rescue started their ground search from the Golden Stairs to Ruined Castle.
Police are concerned as they don’t believe the group was prepared for an overnight stay and did not have an emergency beacon.
The renewed search will focus on the Cedar Creek area.
