TREND: RETURN OF THE DÉCOLLETAGE
Spring is imminent and so begins the gradual reveal, starting from the top. First things first: your facial skincare ritual should always end at your boobs, as the skin on your décolletage needs just as much attention as your face. Remember the golden rule: sunscreen at all times. Now for the fun stuff (see right, below), and then the reveal – just in time for sexy spring fashion.
ROAD TEST
This week I try... Bio Sculpt nail gels
The lowdown When long-lasting nail gels first came to town, I couldn't wait to try them. They did last a few weeks, but when it came time to take them off, my nails were parched. Now I am trying the new, improved version complete with LED light for setting and am keeping an open mind. My nail therapist, Jess, starts the manicure with a precision file, cuticle tidy and relaxing hand massage. She has an array of blinged-up brushes, each with a special task: one to apply a dab of nail strengthener for when the gels are finally removed; one to add ginseng and vitamin E; and one to apply the gel from the tiny little pots. I have chosen a putty-coloured nude called Mute. Jess applies two coats and I put my fingers under the LED light to set the gels in stages. The final touch is a high-shine topcoat and the look is picture perfect.
Pain factor Zero. I love having a manicure and this is no exception.
Downtime Forty minutes – and there's no drying time.
Results My nails look fabulous: they are a great shape, I love the colour and they are set to last for up to three weeks.
