QBE Insurance Group has announced a raft of board changes, including the promotion of its new chief financial officer Pat Regan to an executive directorship.
Mr Regan joined the company in June. He will be paid a base salary of $1.55 million.
Jann Skinner, a director of QBE's Australian insurance business, and former Goldman Sachs Australia chair Stephen Fitzgerald, have also both been appointed to the board effective October 1.
Existing non-executive directors Isabel Hudson and Duncan Boyle will retire from December.
QBE Insurance Group chairman Marty Becker said the board re-shuffle was part of ongoing succession planning.
"With these appointments we are continuing to build on our depth of insurance reinsurance experience at board level," Mr Becker said.
In addition to her existing role as a director of QBE Australia, Ms Skinner also chairs the audit committee for QBE's local subsidiaries.
Mr Fitzgerald's other current roles include sitting on the Australian Securities and Investment Commission's External Advisory Panel and his position as deputy chairman of New York-based asset management firm Pinebridge Investments.
