The Great Western Highway has re-opened in both directions following a serious crash at Springwood this [Friday] morning.
Traffic was queued in both directions after a truck and two cars were involved in the crash near the Lewin Street intersection just before 10.20am.
A 36-year-old man was rushed to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition with leg, chest and facial injuries after being trapped in his car, an Ambulance NSW spokeswoman told the Gazette.
A 41-year-old woman was also taken to Westmead Hospital, in a stable condition, after being freed from her vehicle by paramedics who rushed to the scene about 10.20am.
A six-year-old girl travelling in the same vehicle was taken to Westmead Children's Hospital in a stable condition, suffering a suspected shoulder injury.
The truck driver, 48, was transported to Nepean Hospital in a stable condition with a suspected lower leg injury.
