Pat Cummins picked for England tour

Pat Cummins looks set to return to Australia's one-day international team this winter after being selected for the upcoming tour of England.

It is an important step in the Mount Riverview fast bowler's extended recovery from a foot injury that flared up following his Test debut in South Africa in November last year.

With six pacemen chosen for the tour, national selector John Inverarity said the 19-year-old would not be overworked.

"We are also excited about the return of Pat Cummins and we are looking to ease him back into the team. He will not be expected to play in all of the eight scheduled games," said Inverarity.

Cummins will spend six weeks at the Cricket Australia Centre of Excellence in Brisbane to re-build his fitness before the tour.
