Police drug raids extend to Winmalee home

Police seized 31 mature cannabis plants at a Winmalee home on Wednesday as part of a series of drug raids that extended to Sydney's eastern suburbs.

The raids were triggered when police allegedly intercepted a drug transaction in North Bondi about 11.30am on Wednesday.

"A short time later police executed simultaneous search warrants on four properties in North Bondi, as well as properties at Randwick and Winmalee," police said in a statement.

Cocaine and ecstasy with an estimated street value of $255,000 were seized along with $320,000 in cash, computers and mobile phones, according to police.

"Police will further allege a sophisticated hydroponic cannabis set-up was discovered at the Winmalee home. This set-up was dismantled with 31 mature plants seized," the statement said.

Police arrested two North Bondi men, a 31-year-old North Bondi woman and a 49-year-old Bondi Beach man before charging them with supplying commercial quantities of a prohibited drug.

They were all refused bail and will appear in Waverley Local Court today (Thursday).

Investigations are continuing.
