Boy rescued from bathtub

A seven-year-old boy has been cut free from a bath tub after getting three fingers stuck down the plug hole at Wentworth Falls.

Blue Mountains police rescue officers and other emergency service workers were called to The Avenue about 6pm yesterday (Sunday) following reports the boy was stuck in the bath.

"Upon arrival they located a seven-year-old boy with three of his fingers stuck in the plug hole of the bathtub drain," a police statement said.

"His parents had attempted to remove his fingers from the plug hole however had been unsuccessful."

The plug hole was removed from the tub and then cut from the boy's fingers about 7.55pm, police said.

Paramedics assessed the boy at the scene and no further treatment was required.
