Wentworth Falls boy 'forgets' drain dramas

A three-year-old boy who had to be cut from from the bath after getting three fingers stuck down the plug hole has already forgotten about the incident, according to his father.

Wentworth Falls toddler Aiden Mungai got his fingers stuck in the bath about 6pm on Sunday, with Blue Mountains police rescue officers and other emergency service workers called to the family home in The Avenue. They removed the plug hole from the tub and released Aiden’s fingers about 7.55pm.

“It was so delicate because they were cutting around fingers,” said Aiden’s dad.

Despite making national headlines and featuring on the nightly news, Aiden was underwhelmed by the fuss, said Mr Mungai.

“He’s already forgotten all about it . . . but his bigger brothers were quite excited about it, they were probably talking about it in school all day,” he said.

Mr Mungai said the family had enjoyed an afternoon at Wentworth Falls Lake before Aiden had his nightly bath.

“He likes playing in the water so he stayed there longer,” he said.
