Police issue description of man approaching children in Hazelbrook

Blue Mountains Police have issued a description of a man who has approached local children in Hazelbrook over the last three months.

The most recent incident happened at 8.30am on June 22 when a man driving a gold car stopped in Valley Road and asked two girls if they would like lift, police said in a statement.

The girls said no before running to the local school.

Another girl was offered a lift home by a man driving a gold Holden Caprice in the Hazelbrook shopping centre car park about 3.45pm on May 25, police said.

A man driving a silver car on Oatlands Road asked a girl if she would like a lift home about 3.55pm on April 30 before the girl said no and the man drove away.

Police described the man on each occasion as in his late forties to early fifties with a silver or grey beard and scruffy hair.
