A man charged over the manslaughter of a pedestrian in the Mid-Mountains has had an apprehended violence order (AVO) taken out against him.
Kieran O’Connor, 33, was charged with manslaughter and negligent driving after 34-year-old Andrew Sobolewsky was found dead under a car on Hay Street, Lawson, in the afternoon of June 18.
The incident occurred outside the home of Mr O’Connor’s ex-girlfriend, Lauren Hilton, and police have alleged the two men knew each other.
Mr O’Connor re-appeared in Katoomba Local Court on July 9, where he was ordered not to assault, harass or contact Ms Hilton, or go within 50 metres of her or her home, for 12 months.
Mr O’Connor was also required to surrender his passport after the court heard police were concerned he was a flight risk.
Mr O’Connor was not required to make a plea and the case was adjourned to September 3 at the same court.
