Young cricketers from Springwood Cricket Club experienced the highlight of their short cricketing careers when they represented Springwood in a MILO in2CRICKET on-field demonstration at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Thursday, January 8.
The Springwood kids joined fellow MILO in2CRICKET and MILO T20 Blast participants from around New South Wales in practicing their skills during the lunch break of the fourth Commonwealth Bank Test between Australia and India.
The tailored MILO cricket programs are designed especially for kids and offer basic skill development and the opportunity to play games in a fun, safe and social environment. A number of Australian cricket heroes have graduated through the MILO cricket programs, including Michael Clarke, James Faulkner, Holly Ferling, Ellyse Perry, Mitchell Starc and James Pattinson.
The MILO in2CRICKET program is an exciting way for children aged 5-10 to develop social skills, physical fitness, sportsmanship and basic cricket knowledge. The 8-12 week program is designed to be inclusive and action-packed with all co-ordinators trained and devoted to ensuring kids have a fun and safe experience through Australia's favourite sport.
