They were silly and kooky, crazy and spooky. The head-turning Wentworth Falls Public School students tried on new do's for Crazy Hair Day, a fundraiser for Leukaemia sufferers.
Teacher and organiser Helen Smith, who sported hot pink head horns, said the school's 360 students tried to do "a different fundraiser every term and we start with this one because it's so much fun".
The school's student representative council helped collect the gold coin donations, also spraying hair for 50 cents at recess for those who hadn't had a chance to fix their hair at home.
Mela Hoffman had edible snakes in her hair, Jada Breen used styrofoam cups and a liberal dose of pink and blue hairspray for her Hunger Games inspired look. While Aimee Clifton brought a plate, cereal and an Up and Go shake on her head in case she got hungry later.
Raising $460, the money will go to the worldsgreatestshave cause.
