Move Mountains this May and make sure you don't miss the opening of Winmalee Artfest this Friday, May 1 from 7-10pm.
Indulge your senses in a cultural smorgasboard in your own backyard. Ensure that you get off the lounge, turn off your TV, forget about the take-away and jazz yourself up to feast on the signature opening event which appears on the Blue Mountains artistic calendar.
"With the number of high calibre artists that choose to live and work in the Mountains there is no better place to experience creativity at its greatest," said Paul Brinkman, Director of the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre.
"The new Blue Mountains Theatre opened in Springwood, together with the popular Blue Mountains Cultural Centre in Katoomba, support the Blue Mountains reputation as a city of the arts, but these facilities are only the tip of the iceberg. The diverse range of artistic practice to be found in the Mountains is also showcased in the many community exhibitions such as Winmalee Autumn Artfest.
With an enviable reputation that has grown over many years, Winmalee Autumn Artfest is a must-see Blue Mountains arts event. Packed with fine art and craft, the Winmalee Autumn Artfest is sure to amaze and provides an opportunity for shrewd collectors to purchase artworks from artists that may soon make a name for themselves on the national stage."
