Are you looking for your first job, a new job, apprenticeship or traineeship? Are you keen to know what job opportunities are available throughout the Blue Mountains region? If you are, the Blue Mountains JobShop is the place for you.
JobShop is an employment, skills and careers mini expo that offers a one-stop-shop for the information you need to gain employment, find out what jobs are currently available and learn how to market yourself to build the skills you need to be successful.
"JobShop is a fantastic opportunity for local residents to meet face to face with local employers, training organisations, educational institutions and employment support services all under the one roof," said Clr Mick Fell. "Blue Mountains City Council is proud to support the JobShop event."
This year's JobShop will be held at the Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub in Springwood on Wednesday, May 20 from 5.30-7.30pm.
The Blue Mountains Jobshop is free and open to anyone looking for a job or a career. It is the best opportunity to learn how to apply for current and future jobs, apprenticeships and traineeships and how to get the training you need to get a job within the Blue Mountains region.
JobShop provides the opportunity to talk to representatives from a range of industries, including defence, local government, aged and child care, retail and tourism.
Employers who are recruiting right now, such as Australian Defence Force, Blue Mountains City Council, Woolworths, Fairmont Resort, Oasis Horticulture, and many more, will take part.
Meet education organisations such as TAFE as well as support organisations that can assist unemployed or people with disabilities to gain employment.
If you are soon to be a school leaver in 2015 or 2016, unemployed or looking to change careers you should come to the Blue Mountains JobShop.
