Hazelbrook Over 35s scored a 2-all draw with Emu Plains in an evenly fought game. Pete Griffin scored first for Hazelbrook, but Emu Plains came back and led 2-1 at half time. Hazelbrook fought hard for the equaliser and eventually scored through Simon Bass.
Hazelbrook U13 boys. Hazelbrook Hawks 1 drew with Richmond Ex-Servicemans Club 1. A tough battle at Gloria Park as Richmond tested the Hazelbrook defensive lines but the boys managed to hang on. Matteen Marshall showed excellent skills with the gloves on, and was supported by the tireless work of defenders. Josh Townsend slotted home a confident left-foot goal, and all the rest of the team worked very hard for the full 90 minutes.
Hazelbrook U12 boys. A beautiful day at sunny Cougar Park delivered a third consecutive strong performance with a 8-0 victory over Colo. Several including man of the match Daniel snagged multiple goals. The steel curtain in defence of goalies Sabian and Sam and defenders Toby, Lochie and Hamish easily deflected the few challenges they faced. The attacking flair on the wings by Mitch, Ned and Nathan ensured the Colo defence was constantly under pressure and only heroics by the Cougar goalie stopped an avalanche from unfolding.
