Bullaburra's Harlan Wilton will board a plane bound for Sao Paulo, Brazil on August 5 where he will try to match it with some of the world's best young web developers at the 2015 Worldskills competition.
The 21-year-old, who completed his Diploma of Web Design at Blue Mountains college of TAFE's Wentworth Falls campus in 2014, earned his place in the 25-strong Australian team - called the Skillaroos - after winning gold at the national competition, bronze at the Oceania title held in New Zealand and gold at regionals held in Wentworth Falls.
"It's going to be a very different experience in Brazil," Mr Wilton said.
"Just the level of quality every country is bringing to this competition is exciting.
"When I recently went to Shanghai with my training manager Jarrad Langdon to participate in a mock competition, I noticed just how much resources and amount of training they put in. It's phenomenal."
Mr Wilton said he hopes to go for gold and do his best when representing Australia at Worldskills.
"It'll be a lot of pressure on me, but I feel this will only help in my training.
"I enjoy the challenge of creating the solution. It can be a very creative process and usually requires a lot of thought."
The Skillaroos team will meet Brazilian officials and visit schools before the three-week Worldskills competition begins on August 11.

In September, Blue Mountains college of TAFE will be running regional Wordskills competitions for web design and programming. Entries are open to anyone under 23.
