They met on a Blue Mountains train and hit it off over several hours but never exchanged phone numbers, which she later regretted.
Cue a hopeful cupid in the form of the popular Asian grocery story, The Laughing Elephant, in Wentworth Falls.
Shop assistant Grace Wallace said three weeks ago a cute Blue Mountains girl in her twenties dropped in a letter desperately seeking her mystery man.
"She said he had raved and raved about our rolls and this could be the only place she could find him.
"She just said she really liked him.
"She came in and gave me a letter which says For Zurich."
Miss Wallace created a sign as spicy as the chilli on their famous Banh Mi rolls and hung it on the shop's sandwich bar.
The sign said: Are you tall, tanned and studying in Zurich next year? If so, we have a letter for you.
Miss Wallace, who joked that they were "thinking of opening a dating agency", said the sign had attracted a lot of attention and "seems to make people really happy".
"We've had a few try and pretend that it's them, but we know things about both of them that we are not sharing. We want the letter to go to the right person."
Happily engaged, Miss Wallace said she would love it if she could help love blossom. She's giving "Zurich"until the end of the year to come forward.
"It's been fun. I'd really like it if he comes in, we are giving him until the end of the year, when he's in Zurich, and then I'm opening the letter."
