Marking one year since William Tyrrell disappeared, two dozen Blue Mountains residents walked from Faulconbridge Primary School to Buttenshaw Park to raise awareness about the incident.
Wearing red, blue or William's favourite superhero costume, a Spiderman outfit, the walk was held last Saturday, September 12.
Sara Stubbs, of Faulconbridge, from the Blue Mountains branch of the Walk4William, said she felt "compelled to help bring this matter back into the forefront of everyone's mind".
"Someone knows something and they just need to tell. I just don't think I could go on if this happened to my family so we all need to help," Ms Stubbs said.
"I think it was also fitting to finish at Buttenshaw Park where kids can be kids and have fun and play. Just the way life should be."
William Tyrrell, 3, went missing from his grandma's backyard, at Kendall on the NSW mid-north coast.
There were 80 walks registered nationally during the day, all in a bid to remind potential witnesses to the abduction to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
