Like a fine malt whiskey, Russell Crowe has mellowed with age.
He once met annoyance at intrusion into his personal life with aggression, fighting for his privacy with his fists.
Now the Gladiator star has taken to Twitter to make a pitch-perfect slap down of the paparazzi.
On Tuesday, the 51-year-old revealed that he and his 11-year-old son, Charles, spotted a paparazzo – not particularly well camouflaged in pink – lurking in the bushes by their home.
Charles asked his dad a pertinent question. Why, if he was not famous, was he not allowed privacy.

It sparked an interesting debate among the Twitter community, with people defending the star and his son and suggesting how he could seek revenge.
One user made a valid point that Rusty was stuck between a rock and a hard place.
