Blue Mountains Women's Health and Resource Centre is offering a six-week program for women, Getting a Better Night's Sleep, which will run on Wednesdays from 10am-noon beginning on October 14.
Some of the issues to be covered include: what to do when you can't get to sleep in the first place or keep waking up; foods, environment, relaxation techniques and medications. As part of the latter discussion, Dr Rhonda Barringham will attend the group to discuss the role of sleep clinics. The group will also act as a support for women as they experiment with all the different possibilities.
The cost of the course is $20. The course will be run at the women's health centre in Katoomba. Bookings are essential: 4782 5133.
