Springwood’s Georgie Purcell, 12, has qualified for the seven-strong Australian team (12-13 age division) that will compete at the 2016 Irish Dancing world championships in Glasgow, Scotland in March.
Georgie started Irish dancing classes when she was six after seeing a demonstration at a school fete.
“I just knew straight away that is was for me and I just really liked the style of it and all the dresses.”
