A woman has been arrested and a man is on the run following a pursuit and crash in Richmond on Tuesday.
At about 2.40pm, officers attempted to stop a black Holden Commodore on Bells Line of Road after it was seen driving with no plates.
The driver of the Commodore allegedly failed to stop and a pursuit began.
A short time later, the Commodore collided with a Mazda CX5 on Bells Line of Road and failed to stop.
The driver of the Mazda was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics for minor injuries.
The pursuit was then aborted due to safety concerns.
The Commodore was found abandoned on Bells Line of Road at North Richmond.
Officers conducted a search of the surrounding area, arresting a woman believed to be in her 20s. She has been taken to Windsor Police Station and is currently assisting with inquiries.
An operation is currently underway with police searching for a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
He is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a slim build and was last seen wearing a t-shirt and shorts and may be in possession of a machete.
Police are urging anyone with information, or anyone who knows the whereabouts of the man, not to approach him, and contact 000 immediately.
