Blue Mountains City Council has completed a new footpath along Railway Parade and Park Road in Woodford.
"It's terrific that we now have pedestrian access over the Park Road bridge at Woodford and new tie-in footpaths from the bridge along neighbouring streets,” said Ward 2 councillor Romola Hollywood
“I know that improving pedestrian access along Railway Parade at Woodford is a high priority for local residents and I have been working hard to see that these improvements are delivered."
Cr Annette Bennett acknowledged the advocacy of the Woodford community in achieving pedestrian access in the area, saying she was “very pleased the community's desire for a formed footpath along Railway Parade has been realised”.
Cr Chris Van der Kley said the improvements “will make a big difference to Woodford residents”.
With the Railway Parade/Park Road section of footpath now complete, Cr Hollywood is looking to continue the footpath along Railway Parade from Park Road up towards Hazelbrook.
