Blue Mountains Youth Concert Band has received $1300 from the NSW government to further develop their performance skills and musicianship.
“Blue Mountains Youth Concert Band produces fantastic performances that are appreciated by the whole community, so they’re very deserving on these funds,” said Penrith MP Stuart Ayres. “These funds will allow the band to undertake an intensive workshop and public concert.”
NSW arts minister Troy Grant said the government is proud to support community bands which play a vital role in nurturing talented musicians across NSW.
“The grants are administered by the peak organising body for community and school brass and wind bands, the Band Association of NSW, on behalf of the NSW Government.”
