Blue Mountains City Council has removed graffiti from a recent vandalism attack on the historic Lennox Bridge in Glenbrook.
Council deployed a specialist team to clean the extensive graffiti from the sandstone archway of the bridge.
"No sooner had I reported the matter, than council staff were onto the issue,” said Blue Mountains mayor Mark Greenhill.
"This is an item of huge significance and I want to assure the community that council honours this."
Council has intensified the use of surveillance technology near the Lennox Bridge in an effort to deter ongoing vandalism, such as graffiti and illegal dumping.
