Bushwalkers found the body of a man near a creek in bushland near Glenbrook on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services trekked into the area to carry out investigations and the body was airlifted out of the bush on Monday morning.
Police inquiries are continuing.
Missing man found
A search was underway on Monday around Woodford for a 57-year-old male bushwalker.
Emergency services had set up a command post at Woodford Rural Fire Service, with an SES team finding the man and walking him to safety on Monday afternoon.
House fire in Hazelbrook
Police are investigating following a house fire in Hazelbrook on Monday.
About 1.30pm emergency services were called to Bonnie View Avenue, Hazelbrook, following reports a house was well alight.
Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze; however the house sustained significant damage.
The fire spread to the neighbouring property, with the house sustaining minor damages. No-one was injured during the fire.
Katoomba man found
An elderly man reported missing on Saturday night from a nursing home in Katoomba, was found in a nearby backyard on Sunday morning.
Police officers, as well as SES and the Rural Fire Service, had been searching for the 80-year-old overnight.
The man was found safe and well. He was treated for scratches and bruises and taken to Katoomba Hospital as a precaution.
Woman rescued
An elderly woman was rescued in bushland at Wentworth Falls on Saturday evening after becoming disoriented.
Emergency services were called to a walking track near the Conservation Hut in Wentworth Falls.
She was not injured, and was assisted out of the bush.
Bike accident
A man was airlifted to hospital on Saturday morning with serious head injuries after he came off his bicycle in Faulconbridge.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, was stabilised by ambulance paramedics before being transferred by rescue helicopter to Westmead Hospital.
Blaxland crash
A car went off the road on September 29 on the Great Western Highway at Blaxland, landing in the front yard of a house.
A woman is believed to have fallen asleep at the wheel, with three children in the car. All four were taken to Nepean Hospital with minor injuries.
