The prize was set up following a bequest to the Blue Mountains Quakers by Nancy Shelley, educator and long-term campaigner for the rights of Indigenous people and children.
There were two categories – art and written work. The art winners were: Senior – Eloise Bertinat, junior – Isabella Ruming, committee prize – Max Gleeson-Stanley and Gala Grahovac, encouragement award to Nissa Sigel and Sofia Bilbao.
The written work prizes went to Kate Essex and Isabella McKenzie (joint senior winners), Mia Brischetto (junior) and Sophie Gosling (encouragement).
