An osteopath clinic in East Blaxland has been given the go-ahead by council after the operators agreed not to open on a Sunday.
Owner Leslie D’Costa had applied to run the business in Bellbird Street between 8am and 7.30pm weekdays, 9am-5pm on Saturdays and 10am-3pm Sundays.
But nearby residents protested, starting a petition which gained 33 signatures. There were also 48 signed up in an online petition. They were concerned about the opening hours, traffic and noise.
The proposal was deferred at last month’s council meeting and following site visits, Mr D’Costa agreed to drop the request for Sunday hours.
Council approved the DA at this week’s meeting.
