The Spectacles are returning to Hazelbrook Bowling Club on December 10 after a very popular gig there in June.
Unashamedly a covers band, The Spectacles play rock, pop and soul hits that everyone knows and loves.
“Writing songs and playing original music is something that we’ve all done over the years in various projects, but this band is all about playing well-known songs for the sheer fun of it,” said one of the lead vocalists, Lorraine Vogel.
“We’re that band that you can come and see with your mates, have a few drinks and a bit of a boogie.
“Our repertoire gets increasingly danceable across the night and we love to see the great moves our audiences bring to the dance floor.”

The seven-piece band is made up of seasoned local musicians who all bring something different to the mix. It’s these influences and experiences that make The Spectacles unique.
“We have members whose backgrounds are in classical, folk, rock, blues and even punk,” said Vogel. “We’re all very different in our musical tastes and approaches but somehow that’s exactly what makes it work.
“We have a lot of respect for each other and the whole thing is just great fun. You know you’re on the right track when even the bar staff at the gigs are dancing.”
On Saturday, December 10, 8-11pm. Free entry.
