Ballet Art Katoomba, Katoomba’s longest established ballet school, is moving to new studios in the freshly renovated Masonic Hall at the corner of Civic Place and Station Street.
The school had a successful 2016 with strong annual exam results, award-winning competition students and an enjoyable end-of-year performance, The Enchanted Lake which was performed at Blue Mountains Grammar School.
Borovansky Syllabus Exams were held in September with one of Australia’s most famous ballet legends, Marilyn Jones OBE examining the students.
Two of Ballet Art Katoomba’s major level students, Taliya Bennet and Jenna Daly, received Hounours for their Intermediate Exam and achieved first or second placing in most of the competitions they entered in 2016.
