The recent 2016 Performance Beauty showcased the depth of dance styles on offer which include ballet [RAD], Boy Zone, contemporary, dance play, jazz/funk/hip hop and tap.
The annual concert is just one of many performance opportunities for students. 2017 is shaping up to be an exciting year with a Dance Marathon weekend in first term where students will perform their own choreographed routines for a special guest judge, as well as dancing in community festivals and events such as the Blue Mountains Charleston Challenge at The Hydro Majestic Hotel, Blackheath Day Festivities, Rhododendron Festival and Carols by Candlelight.

DFL staff are qualified with world-wide dance organisations including Royal Academy of Dance, Australian Teachers of Dancing and Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing. This means that students are taught the correct technique and have the opportunity to enter examinations in ballet, contemporary, hip hop, modern jazz, and tap.
Enrolment Days will be held Friday January 27 between 3pm-6pm and Saturday January 28 between 10am-12noon in Blackheath Public School Hall.
