Sydney first grade cricketers Mitchell Edwards and Luke Bartier will inspire junior cricketers from the Blue Mountains next week at a cricket camp at Peter Carroll Field, Leura.
“Our head coach Mitchell Edwards has played first grade cricket at St George Cricket Club for a couple of seasons now. He combines these duties with being head coach at our cricket camps as well as studying to become a primary school teacher,” Super Sports Camps co-ordinator Luke Reynolds said.
“Mitchell is an excellent cricket coach and educator of young people combining his playing experience, technical knowledge and passion for helping young cricketers maximise their potential on and off the field.
“Luke Bartier is a current member of the first grade team at St George and was selected in the NSW Under 19 team for the 2015/16 season. He also dedicates much of his time to coaching junior cricketers in Sydney for the Sydney Cricket Academy,” Mr Reynolds said.
The two day cricket camp will be held at Peter Carroll Field in Leura on Monday, January 23 and Tuesday, January 24 from 9am to 3pm each day.
“Our team of accomplished and well-resourced coaches aim to deliver a cricket camp that provides an exciting educational experience for enthusiastic junior cricketers of all abilities aged 6-16 years in the school holidays that builds their self confidence,” Mr Reynolds said.
“The cricket camp program is expertly designed and it covers batting, bowling and fielding technique plus all three cricket formats from test matches, one day and Twenty 20. As such, we guarantee every junior cricketer will improve their cricketing skills, make new friends, develop their teamwork abilities, keep fit and build their self confidence.”
The cricket camp provides a combination of prizes, awards and trophies to attendees.
