Ward 3 Councillor Shae Foenander has slammed the state of public toilets in the Springwood town centre and has lodged a notice of motion to deal with the matter.
Debate will take place at the February council meeting.
"Many local residents have raised this with me, both during the election campaign and since,” said Cr Foenander.
She said the problems include anti-social behaviour near the closed public toilets in Rest Park to the state of the open public toilets in the northern (IGA) car park.
"Residents have stopped me in the street to express disgust at the state of the toilet in the middle of town. There is literally urine on the floor and the size and design makes it hard for mums with prams to actually use the toilet themselves or change a baby and small children.

Cr Foenander said “this is a very local concern and while other areas have had upgrades in the past, like Leura and Lennox Park in Blaxland, Springwood has missed out”.
The state of the closed toilets in Rest Park was last raised by Ward 3 Cr Mick Fell in 2012 when he called for the block to be removed as part of a park upgrade.
