Fairfax marketing and leading industry experts will hold free information seminars in Springwood next month about marketing businesses in the digital age.
The five seminars will be held at the Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub on March 14 and are open to all small and medium businesses in the Blue Mountains region.
One of the expert speakers, Fairfax’s head of marketing services Joel Brewer, said marketing can be difficult in the current climate due to the number of choices available to business owners.
“It’s such a complicated and cluttered space we live in, it’s hard to keep abreast of everything that’s happening at any one time,” he said. “When people come along to the seminars, they can expect to learn a little bit more about the lay of the [digital] land.”
The seminars will also discuss website basics, the benefits of mobile friendly websites, and the best ways for customers to find your websites.
With Australia having high smartphone penetration rates, the seminars will also look at the importance of “having mobile as part of your strategy moving forward”, said Mr Brewer.
“It’s not about when, it’s about how we can best take hold of that opportunity that’s presented through people using their smartphones.”
As a Google premium partner, Fairfax can offer insights backed up with industry experience and credibility.
“People can know when they’re coming to have a cup of coffee and listen to us that they’re speaking to people who know what they’re talking about and will give them insights to go forth in what is a pretty complicated space,” said Mr Brewer.
The seminars at the Hub in Macquarie Road, Springwood will be held at 8.30am, 10.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 5.30pm. Bookings are essential. Call Dianne on 0457 535 749.
