The ideas flowed and business confidence was strong among the 90 people attending Blue Mountains Economic Enterprise’s (BMEE) Back to Business event at the Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub on Thursday, March 2.
The free event was part of Back to Business Week, a NSW Department of Industry initiative designed to support or help start small to medium businesses and promote the critical role they play in communities. Blue Mountains council engaged BMEE to run the event which included presentations by senior advisors from Western Sydney Business Centre, Blue Mountains Regional Business Chamber and Council planning.
“We put together a ‘brains trust’ of speakers and panellists to help anyone running a small business or thinking of establishing a business in the Mountains,” said BMEE CEO Jacqueline Brinkman.
Information covered key topics such as registering a business, marketing, financing, planning approvals for home based businesses and what support is available for the Blue Mountains business community.
