A 34-year-old man has been charged after allegedly stabbing a 27-year-old man in the arm in Katoomba on Thursday evening.
Police were called to Pulpit Hill Rd in Katoomba for a domestic disturbance about 9.30pm on April 6.
Detective Chief Inspector Dietmar Almer said it was alleged the men, who were friends sharing a house together, had an argument that turned physical.
“It is alleged that the 34-year-old male obtained a knife and is alleged to have cut the 27-year-old male on the arm before fleeing the scene,” Chief Inspector Almer said.
The 34-year-old man was found in nearby bushland. He was arrested and taken to Katoomba Police Station where he was later charged with armed with intent to commit a serious indictable offence, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and intimidation.
He was refused bail and was to appear before Katoomba Local Court on Friday.
The injured man was taken to hospital with a small laceration to his left arm that required no stitches, Chief Inspector Almer said.
