Sydney FC is one away from premiership glory after progressing to the A-League grand final.
The side secured a convincing 3-0 win over Perth Glory in a do-or-die semi-final on Saturday night at Allianz Stadium.
Sydney FC will now wait to find out which team it will face on grand final day.
Melbourne Victory and Brisbane Roar will battle for that spot in the other semi-final on Sunday afternoon.
Saturday night’s win was set up by three first half goals from Sydney FC, two of which could be described as controversial.
Joshua Brilliante was the first player to score, finding the back of the net from outside the box in the 21st minute.
A Jordy Buijs goal in the 37th minute then helped Sydney FC take a 2-0 lead.
The video assistant referee was called upon to reverse an off-side decision against Buijs..
Filip Holosko then rose high late in the first half to head home a goal to guide Sydney FC to a 3-0 advantage.
For the second time, the video assistant referee overruled an off-side decision, this time against Holosko.
No goals were scored in the second half.
In the second semi-final, Melbourne Victory will host Brisbane Roar at AAMI Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Victory will start as favourite after finishing the regular season in second position.
