Margaret Goodwin has been shopping at the supermarket in Blaxland for more than 30 years but left the car park with one of her biggest hauls ever last week.
And it didn’t cost her a cent.
The Blaxland resident was the first NSW/ACT winner in IGA’s “Win A Car Competition”, picking up the keys to her Holden Spark on Thursday, April 29.
“I really couldn’t believe it. I think I won a box of paints when I was six-years-old and nothing else since then so it was just lovely,” she said.
Blaxland IGA store manager Trevor Ward said the local win was a “fantastic” boost for the store’s staff.
“We always get in involved in the promotions but we haven’t been fortunate enough for someone to win that we know, so for someone to win it from our store is great for us,” he said.
Shoppers have to spend $30 or more to enter the competition at participating IGA supermarkets. The competition continues until May 30.
Customers can also win $250 IGA gift cards.
