Registrations have opened for the annual Woodford to Glenbrook Classic on June 25.
Now in its 11th year raising money for CareFlight, the Woodford to Glenbrook Classic covers 25km.
This year sees CareFlight introduce a 5km scenic run from the intersection of Oaks Trail and Bennett Ridge trail to the Euroka Clearing.
The event will finish with a community fair-style reception in the beautiful Euroka Clearing.
“The event is a must for keen mountain bikers and trail runners but all are welcome to join in the fun, with activities for the kids, food stalls and displays throughout the day,” said CareFlight Community and Engagement Co-ordinator, John Ebbott.
“Participants of all ages are encouraged to enter. You don’t have to be a professional athlete to enter - everyone is invited to join.”
Participants are supported the full length of the track by Rural Fire Service crews stationed along the way, providing first aid and drinks. A CareFlight doctor and St John Ambulance volunteers will also be in support.
The Woodford to Glenbrook Classic is a signature event for CareFlight and helps raise vital funds to save lives, speed recovery and serve the community.
