The mayors of Blue Mountains and Blacktown have joined forces to hold a community forum against the planned western Sydney airport.
The “Western Sydney Airport Exposed” forum will be held at Blacktown City Council on July 23.
Blue Mountains mayor Mark Greenhill said the airport is the “most significant proposal affecting the liveability of western Sydney for the next century”.
“The airport has been approved on the basis of a grossly inadequate final environmental impact statement and airport plan, having significant impacts on the communities of the Blue Mountains and western Sydney.
“I encourage our community to attend this free event, which will provide further information on how this airport will impact our residents.”
The event will be held at the Nirimba Room, Blacktown City Council (entrance via Campbell Street) from 1pm-3pm.
