A man allegedly threatened Katoomba Hospital staff with a knife on Tuesday, August 8 before surrendering to police.
Police were called to the hospital in Woodlands Road about 2.30pm following reports a man was armed with a knife and threatening staff. They attempted to speak to the man before he allegedly produced a second knife.
Specialist officers arrived about 4.30pm when the man surrendered and was arrested. He was charged with common assault, affray, assault police in the execution of duty, and custody of a knife in a public place.
A 38-year-old man will face Penrith Local Court today (August 9).
