Three people have narrowly avoided serious injury after a bus crashed through three properties in North Ryde in Sydney on Saturday afternoon.
The bus mounted the curb on Epping Road shortly before midday, crashing through the front fence of one property before hitting two neighbouring homes.
The bus, which belongs to a private company, had no passengers at the time.
Two women in one of the houses suffered minor injuries, and were taken to the Royal North Shore Hospital for observation.
One man in another house also suffered minor injuries, but did not require any medical treatment.
Photographs of the scene show the roof and front wall of one house collapsed in the front yard, while the bus remains lodged in the front wall of the neighbouring home.
Traffic is heavy in the area, following the closure of one westbound lane on Epping Road while emergency services attend the scene.
The male bus driver was taken to hospital for observation and mandatory tests.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
