A man in his late 60s had a lucky escape on Saturday morning when his car rolled going down Victoria Pass in Mt Victoria.
The single vehicle accident occurred at 9.20am in wet conditions, with the car flipping onto its roof.
“SES teams were first on site as they were just driving through. They provided first aid and traffic control until police and ambulance arrived,” said Blue Mountains SES controller John Hughes.
An Ambulance NSW spokesman said the man was treated for a cut to his head and taken to Blue Mountains Hospital.
Neighbours’ dispute
A 58-year-old Medlow Bath man sustained a broken nose and possible brain trauma during an argument with his 51-year-old neighbour on October 8.
“During the argument, it is alleged that the 51-year-old man punched the victim several times in the head, causing the victim to fall to the ground. The 51-year-old male is then alleged to have struck the victim in the face with his knee. As a result of the assault, the victim sustained a broken nose, soreness to his spine, and will be assessed for possible brain trauma,” said Blue Mountains Police Detective Chief Inspector Dietmar Almer.
The 51-year-old man was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and will appear before Katoomba Local Court on October 23.
Negligent driving charge
A 19-year-old Winmalee man will face court for refusing to submit to breath analysis and negligent driving.
The man was found disoriented behind the wheel of a vehicle that crashed in Springfield Crescent, Springwood about 1.40am on Saturday.
He will appear before Penrith Local Court on Thursday.
High-range PCA
A 37-year-old Glenbrook man has been charged with driving with high-range PCA.
The man was stopped by police on Emu Road in Glenbrook at 11.30pm on October 13.
“The man failed a road-side breath test and was arrested and taken to Springwood Police Station where he submitted to a breath analysis,” said Blue Mountains Police Detective Acting Inspector James Allan.
He was to appear before Penrith Local Court on Tuesday.
Mid-range PCA
A 65-year-old Blackheath man has been charged with driving with mid-range PCA and had his licence suspended.
The man was stopped by police in Sutton Lane, Blackheath at 10am on October 13.
He is due to appear before Katoomba Local Court on November 13.
