Missy Higgins and Kate Miller-Heidke will be among the artists at the 23rd Blue Mountains Music Festival of Folk Roots and Blues (BMMF) in Katoomba from March 16-18, 2018.
ARIA-winning singer-songwriter Higgins will be making her first appearance while the multi-talented Miller-Heidke will be returning for her second festival.
Melbourne singer-songwriter Lior will also be returning in duo format with the internationally renowned musician Paul Grabowsky. Adding to the classical flavour are guitar legends, The Grigoryan Brothers, who are teaming up with multi-instrumentalist Adam Page.
Also gracing the stages will be Australian legend Archie Roach and his band as well as Sydney’s The Backsliders who are making a long-awaited return.
Heading up the 17 international acts are Harry Manx (Canada), Steve Poltz (Canada), While and Matthews (UK) and Braebach (Scotland). Also adding a distinctive Bluegrass flavour for 2018 will be Peter Rowan Band (US), Nashville’s 10 String Symphony, Flats and Sharps (UK) and Brothers Comatose (US).
As always there will be three days of great music on seven stages, totalling more than 100 concerts as well as the usual songwriters’ and instrumental circles, Heartland Conversations and roaming performers.
There are limited early bird tickets available now at the BMMF website.
