The remake of Agatha Christie’s classic, Murder on the Orient Express, is the feature attraction at the next Rotary charity movie night on Wednesday, November 8.
With an allstar cast – Judi Dench, Johnny Debb, Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kenneth Branagh, Josh Gad, Leslie Odom Jr and Daisy Ridley – this new version of the famous mystery is certain to be a box office success.
Lower Blue Mountains Rotary is very grateful to Ron Curran and the Glenbrook Cinema team for their ongoing support with charity movie nights.
Rotary club president Rennie Schmid said the functions provide a great source of income to fund Rotary’s ongoing good works with youth, community and international service.
Due to the unavailability of the Glenbrook Hall on November 8, this charity night will take on a different format. Rather than finger food and light refreshments in the hall prior to the movie, patrons will be handed a bag of supper ‘goodies’ and a bottle of refreshing water in the cinema entry foyer. Cinema entry will be from 6.45pm with screening to commence at 7.15pm.
Accordingly, the price of tickets has been reduced to $20 each.
Bookings are with Rotarian Gaye Van Der Meer on 0430 433 717 – patrons are requested to mention any special dietary requirements when making bookings as all supper bags will be pre-prepared.
As a special memento of this remake of one of the world’s great murder mysteries, Twentieth Century Fox has donated a series of special door prizes to be won by patrons at the charity screening. These will be drawn when everyone is seated prior to the screening.
