The creation of a rustic beer garden at Yellow Rock has earned a Lower Mountains business a silver medal.
Living Through Landscapes won silver in the $35,000 – $75,000 residential construction category at the LNA Masters Landscapers Association Excellence Awards.
The beer garden was designed to bring family and friends together, said business owner Todd Duclos.
“With cast iron fire pits to warm you in the cooler months and a vine-covered mesh roof to shade you in the warmer months, this unique and functional space can be enjoyed all year,” he said.
“The one-of-a-kind repurposed glass bottle lights, recycled brick walls, tree log fencing, sandstone logs and bespoke timber furniture create a relaxed and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere.”
He said the award was a team effort from qualified landscape construction tradesmen: Todd Duclos, Brock Gribble and Hayden Cosgrove, fourth year apprentice Tyler Wright, and first year apprentice Jayden Walsh.
