Canadian Celtic folk trio The East Pointers will appear in concert in Katoomba on Saturday, December 9.
The award winning trio are fiddler Tim Chaisson, banjoist Koady Chaisson and guitarist Jake Charron.
Their second album, What We Leave Behind, released in September, continues to blur the lines between traditional and popular music.
They have developed a devoted fanbase around the globe, with their captivating balance between traditional-sounding instrumental tunes and songs.
The East Pointers have spent the past two years solidly touring Canada, the US, the UK, and Australia in support of their Juno award-winning album, Secret Victory.
“Furiously energetic yet organic, celebratory yet cool, this is an impressive calling-card for a band who are soon to be making waves around the world” wrote Songlines Magazine.
The trio perform at The Metropole Guesthouse with special guests Tash Parker and Emma Anglesey at 6pm.
